Good Evening!
I hope everyone is well during this holiday season.
With the Learnia Tests from last week, much of what was planned last week will take place this week.
In literacy the students will read the story Rosie, A Visiting Dog's Story. We will focus on words with /ough/ and on singular possessive nouns.
In math we will continue our unit on Multiplication and Division.
In Social Studies we are studying the city of Newark and discussing what makes it an urban community.
In Science we will take an assessment on magnetism and electricity.
The spelling words are listed below:
1. anyone 2. because 3. everybody 4. our 5. right
6. terrible 7. would 8. are 9. cause 10. everything
11. place 12. rough 13. tough 14. write 15. beauty
16. country 17. helpful 18. replace 19. should 20. trouble

I hope you all had a great weekend.
This week the students will be taking the Learnia Assessments (Math, Reading, and Writing) during the morning of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The students did receive the spelling words which are posted below - the words focus on the /ou/ sounds
Spelling Words
1. crown 2. proud 3. however 4. count 5. crowded
6. around 7. south 8. loud 9. house 10. shouted
11. howl 12. growl 13. bounce 14. fountain 15. sound
16. special 17. trust 18. companion 19. trained 20. behave
