It's Been Too Long

Good Morning!
I hope everyone is doing well.

Today the students will be writing, writing, writing, and reading. We will be reading an informational text and writing about what we have read. The students began reading their books last week and began to plan their writing. Please ask your students what they are reading/writing about.
We will review singular and plural possessive nouns and introduce prefixes.

In math we will continue our unit on place value and naming big numbers. This unit also covers decimals which we will begin by the middle of the week - please practice with your student saying the names of big numbers and that of decimals as well.

In social studies we are studying cliff dwellings of the Anasazi - a Native American tribe. We will be constructing cliff dwellings and will be complete by the end of this week.

Science will focus on weighing six objects that are close in weight and putting them in order from least to greatest using binary symbols.

The students receive a Reading Log every Monday - I am only receive a few back, please make sure that your student completes the reading log. The students should be reading at least 20 minutes every night.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
